A new concept in ocean design.

By pure luck I came across one of the mostamazing and stylish yacht that I have seen in a while and it is being built inChina by McConaghy Boats for a very lucky couple from Hong Kong.

I used to spend a lot of time and holidayson beautiful yachts so I suppose I am still hooked on them but that’s nosurprise since they boast some of the most elegant, stylish and sophisticatedinteriors.

This beauty is the trimaran “Adastra”. Ithas taken more than 5 years of design and discussion with the owners; the endresult is a yacht that fulfils their needs and that of their family.

The vision: provide a level of comfort andstyle with low fuel consumption, excellent sea keeping qualities and luxuriousaccommodation. The outcome: described by Boat International as "one of the world's most amazing superyachts, that could spell the future for efficient long range cruising","Adastra" will take the power trimaran concept further than has everbeen attempted before.

The main deck is comprised of a gorgeous, spacioussalon area boasting superb views through a panoramic window while accommodatinga lounge area, dining area and navigation station. Through the saloon there is access to a large sunbed on the foredeck.

The garage door has been designed to foldout and create a large dive platform (hummm, I like the sound of that). Extraspace has been created below deck to accommodate a full-width master cabinlocated aft with access from the deck saloon, two further guest cabins andaccommodation for the crew.

Adastra offers comfortable accommodationfor nine guests and up to six crew members. Jepsen Designs did an amazing jobdesigning the interiors of this stunning yacht.

Home project: a novel way to store your jewellery.

For a while I have been looking for somewhereto store my jewellery. The women readers among you will know how frustrating itis when your prized necklaces, bracelets and bangles get all tangled up.  No matter where I’d looked I just haven’t beenable to find the right thing. So with that in mind I thought I needed to takematters in my own hands and DO IT MYSELF (no need for cringing, please).

So here is what I assembled:

·        Two frames
·        Chicken wire
·        Pliers or scissors
·        Stapler

And this is what I did:

One of the frames I liked had a picture so I proceeded to remove itand the glass.

I cut the wire to measure.

Then I stapled the wire in the back of the frame.

And voilĂ !

I now can display my jewellery (well nearly all of it, I might justget another frame) and makes it so much easier to find the right accessory. YesI know... you are thinking I am vain!

Is this a good idea for a Christmas present or not?
