Caprese Salad as Appetizer


A fresh, Caprese salad is incredibly yummy. It's a simple combination of flavors that work so well together! Here's an appetizer spin on the Caprese salad:
  • Take cherry-sized tomatoes, cut off the tops, scoop out the seeds.
  • Cube fresh mozzarella, place a cube in each tomato
  • Drizzle tomatoes and mozzarella with fresh extra virgin olive oil. (You may also drizzle with a little balsamic vinegar if you like)
  • Coarsely chop fresh basil and sprinkle over the tomatoes and mozzarella
  • You may season with a little pepper if you like, or leave the dish as is.
This is a colorful, healthy, fresh appetizer that takes very little time but is very much appreciated by guests!
