Here is the yummy, scrumptious, lip-smacking corn casserole that our cousin Heather whipped up for Comfort Food Sunday. It was delicious and it was about gone by the time the dinner was over because most people went back for seconds! This would be a fabulous side for Thanksgiving, by the way. Enjoy the recipe (and a big thanks to Heather for passing this on!)
8 oz corn, cooked (I think I used a bag of at least 12 oz).
Melt butter and blend together:
2 T butter
1 T. flour
1 t salt
Add and fold in:
1/4 t pepper
1/2 t minced onion
1 t sugar
1 c sour cream
2 c gruyere cheese
Top with:
1/2 c crushed corn flakes mixed together with 2 T melted butter
Place in greased dish and bake at 400 uncovered for 15-20 minutes
