A Most Charming Place for Ladies:

While our terrific mom (Babs) was in town (on a break from her and Dad's work in Liberia), we visited a place that we were most excited to see: Crown & Crumpet in San Francisco.  This darling tea room had been on our to-do list for awhile, and it did not disappoint!  There were four of us (Mom, sister-in-law Meagan, and the two of us---Jill & Kari) and we had a lovely tea that filled us up enough that we didn't need lunch!  If you are in the San Francisco area, you simply must plan on tea or lunch at Crown & Crumpet.  It's the perfect spot to treat a special lady in your life, or to bring a bunch of little girls for a very grown-up, dressed-up afternoon.  The decor is beautiful and fun and the food & tea is delicious!  We had a lovely time.  Here are a few pictures of our afternoon.  We apologize that we don't have more, but true to form, we forgot the camera and were snapping pictures with the old iphone!

Delicious tea sandwiches, sweets, and champagne to get the day started right!

Even someone who isn't normally fond of tea will find something they enjoy here.  The tea selection was very yummy!

If you can't make it to Crown & Crumpet in San Francisco, you might consider recreating the experience of a glamorous tea at your next party!  Invite some fantastic women over (maybe requiring them all to dress for a fine tea----hats, too!), pull out the good china, and spend a few hours basking over good conversation and yummy tea sandwiches!  :)
