DIY Roman Shades

It seems that quite a few of our friends and family are in the midst of home decorating projects. As we've heard all about the sticky wickets that come along with making important decor decisions, one of the most baffling decisions to be made seems to be the ole window treatment. Have you noticed how expensive custom window treatments are?!?! (One of the reasons we are grateful that our mother, Babs, gave us some basic sewing knowledge---it comes in quite handy when trying to cut costs on custom projects!) We know that many of you are wrestling with the idea of Roman Shades right now---especially how expensive they can be. So, we thought we'd hunt up some good information on how to do it yourself for a fraction of the cost. Here are some great sources for you (there's even a no-sew project in the midst!):

Good luck!  We hope one of these tutorials will be just the thing for those of you who are struggling with getting the perfect window treatment in a room that needs a special touch.  :)
