Design Challenge for all Readers---with a PRIZE!

Okay, here's the deal. We know the Babs Blog has a lot of design-savvy readers, so we are going to present a design challenge with a PRIZE! Read on for the details and the rules...

Even though one of us gets paid to design and both of us enjoy decorating like nobody's biz, it's still fun to get a different view point from time to time. That's where you come in...

Imagine that the two fabrics above are going into a living room space. The fabulous gray linen is a Duralee fabric that will be covering a sofa. The Windsor Smith fabric above, Archipelago in Haze, will be covering an oversized wingback chair. (You can't quite tell from the photo above, but the linen is the exact gray that the Archipelago Haze has) Your job? Choose a couple more fabrics to accompany this duo. While we have a really fantastic floral in mind, you can choose anything you think would look great with any accompanying color scheme. One of the fabrics will be used to cover two console tables, similar to what Jenny did here on Little Green Notebook. Other fabric will be used for throw pillows. Create a "board" in Photoshop (or whatever) showing your fabrics (and other details such as trim, etc.---optional) alongside the two shown above. Make sure your vision is apparent! Fabrics can be to-the-trade or otherwise----it doesn't matter! You have no budget, but try to make the design within reach ($200/yard fabric is not really within reach for this project.)

How to enter---You can enter one of two ways:

1. Post your "board" on your blog, linking back to us. If you do this, leave a comment below this post letting us know you've posted on your blog so we can look at your work.

OR

2. Email your "board" to thebabsblog@gmail.com. Make sure you include your name!

All entries are due by Sunday, October 17.

The winner will be chosen by Jill & Kari. (If we love it enough, it might actually get implemented! If it does, we'll be bragging about the winner for a long time to come! :)
