So, this is not a particularly original idea---just warnin' ya. I mean, crafty ladies have been sharing their DIY chalkboards on blogs for years. We're not claiming to have invented this idea, but we wanted to share anyway. Why? 'Cause it's easy and it's cute---that's why!
These two mirrors were found at garage sales. The larger one is pretty gaudy in all it's scrolly gold tackiness. The federal style mirror (with the bird) is a little "meh." It's made of resin, so the gold color ain't foolin' nobody.
Enter a couple cans of high-gloss white spray paint:And some sprayable chalkboard paint...
VoilĂ ! A chalkboard to add a little glam to a strange wall in a kitchen/hallway area:
