Lake Minnetonka Residence

This new home blends an old-world aesthetic with materials and a color pallet derived from the client’s native state of Pennsylvania and incorporates several exterior living spaces to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Shingle Style Family Vacation Retreat House

Shingle style houses found in New England’s seaside resorts at the turn of the century inspired the design of this family vacation retreat. The house is overlooking a lake and is made of stone and wood cladding. Thanks to that and asymmetrical lines of its roof and walls blends naturally into the landscape. From a dramatic two-story dining room at its center, the plan curves gently toward the lake, affording light and panoramic views of the water to both wings of the home. As the exterior as the interior they both done with touches of luxury. In a playful touch, a blue light in the roof-top cupola has become a nighttime landmark for residents of the lake.

Fabulous, modern apartment in New York City

This modern apartment is designed for a New York couple with three kids under 10 years old. The couple works in media industry so their design expectations were very high. In the result they got a fabulous 3400-square-foot space for contemporary lifestyle which is safe for their kids. Almost every room feels light and airy thanks to neutral color palette and used materials. The three-bedroom flat possesses versatility to be transformed to suit evolving tastes as the children grew older. Furniture and surfaces around the flat are made of contemporary materials that are easy to clean and looks very modern. Thanks to built-in furniture there is also plenty of space to accommodate all family belongings.

Eclectic Great room

Megan and Mark Sutherland's home in Overland Park, Kans., strikes just the right balance between a gracious country house with old-world details and a relaxed family home that always welcomes. Drawing on her love of the English countryside, her sense of color, and her previous business as an antiques dealer, Megan made a new house (built 13 years ago) feel convincingly like a century-old home.

Interior Designer Phoebe Howard

All the way from the UK

Today let us enjoy the work of UK based interior designer Helen Green. A look that is lean, clean and classic yet seductive and inviting. The palette is subdued, with rich, understated fabrics reflecting in polished surfaces, recalling the sleek glamor of the thirties; hushed, pristine and relaxed.

Retreat on Martha's Vinyard

In the master bedroom, detailed millwork gives the space architectural distinction.
I like the bunny rabbits door stoppers.

The living room, made symmetrical with the addition of a doorway in the fireplace wall, received a Colonial Revival carved mantel and paneling.
